Program on Wind Development in Van Wert County

URBANA, Ohio (February 15, 2012) - The public is invited to a presentation on Wind Development in Van Wert County on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 7:15 p.m. in the Urbana University Student Center’s Sara Landess room.

Leading the presentation is Nancy Bowen, assistant professor and specialist in community and economic development at OSU Extension. She will provide a case study overview of the Iberdrola Blue Creek Wind Farm project in Van Wert County. Her colleague, Eric Romich, field specialist in energy development at OSU Extension, will present information on the “drivers” for wind farms, including SB221 and SB232, as backdrop for the project. The presentation is from an educational standpoint, not a promotion of the issue one way or another.
