State Helps Western Ohio Communities Save Money

COLUMBUS – The State Development Services Agency awarded 26 grants and loans to local communities today totaling


Two projects in western Ohio received $1,000,000 in loans to make them more efficient and save local governments even more money.

The Local Government Innovation Fund is for projects in nine categories: technology, public safety, facilities, economic development, fleet management, public works, administration, health and human services and educational instructional support.

“The state is committed to provide money back to local communities,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency. “But the value is in saving local taxpayers more money in the long run.”
