New Carlisle, OH- After a year of careful planning and renovations, the New Carlisle Community Health Center is finished and ready to open its doors to the seasonal, local farmworker families and residents of New Carlisle on September 2, 2010. Any person without a family doctor or dentist is encouraged to utilize services at the health center. New patients are being accepted. The health center offers integrated health care to patients. Medical, dental, chiropractic and behavioral health services are all available.
Another important aspect of the health center is its offering of sliding fee services. If a family’s income is less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, their fees will be reduced to make them more affordable. This is especially crucial in today’s environment, given the state of the economy and the hardships families are facing. Various insurance plans are also accepted, including: Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance. Although the health center is not free; no patient will be turned away regardless of their ability to pay that day.
Some may know the health center as the Salud Community Clinic that operated in Tipp City before this expansion. With the addition of more exam space, staff members are hoping to see many more patients walk through the doors.
An open house celebration is planned for Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm with an official ribbon cutting at 3:00pm. The public is encouraged to attend to receive a tour of the new facility.
