BARBOURVILLE, Kentucky (February 18, 2012) – The Urbana University swim teams put the finishing touches on their record-breaking seasons at the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships this weekend. Over Friday and Saturday, the Blue Knights smashed 19 school records on their way to a 7th place overall finish in the 14-team ASC. The men posted a program best 5th place finish, while the women also set a new mark with their 10th place spot. Wheeling Jesuit and Asbury finished one-two on both the men’s and women’s side to claim the conference championships and runner-up spots, respectively.

URBANA, Ohio (February 18, 2012) – The Urbana University women’s basketball team lost at home for the first time since December 17th on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Yellow Jackets from Cedarville University snapped Urbana’s 8-game home winning streak with a 72-67 overtime win.

URBANA, Ohio (February 16, 2012) – The Urbana University women’s basketball team remained undefeated at home in 2012, claiming their eighth straight win in the Grimes Center. The Blue Knights topped the Tigers from Salem International University 74-53 to improve to 8-0 at home under new Head Coach Maria Marchesano and 8-0 all-time against the Tigers.

URBANA, Ohio (February 14, 2012) – Six days after Central State stopped the Blue Knight men’s basketball team in Wilberforce, Urbana exacted its revenge in a 78-77 buzzer-beater on Tuesday night in the Grimes Center. Sharif Muhammad Jr. banked home the game-winner at the horn as the Blue Knights pulled off an improbable 20-point comeback in the second half.

SAINT PARIS-- The Urbana Hillclimbers beat the host Graham Falcons on Friday night in a grinder, winning 39-37 in front of a spirited crowd. With the victory, Urbana clinched the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division for the first time since 2000. Graham had won the previous seven titles.

ST. CHARLES, Missouri (February 11, 2011) – Traveling 7 hours from home didn’t help the Urbana University men’s basketball team stop a 4-game skid on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Knights nearly pulled off the upset, but ultimately fell on the road to the red-hot Lions from Lindenwood University 78-69.

After falling on the road to Lindenwood University by 10 points just three weeks ago, the Blue Knights turned the tables on the Lions with a 65-56 win in the Grimes Center on Saturday afternoon.
